New Driver Checklist
Section titled “New Driver Checklist”Welcome to North Star Racing. Before you take the green flag, please complete all items below to ensure a smooth, professional, and competitive racing experience.
1. Registration & Accounts
Section titled “1. Registration & Accounts”- Join the official league Discord
- Complete the league registration form for Cup, Trucks, or both:
- Set your Discord nickname to match your iRacing name
2. Rules & Expectations
Section titled “2. Rules & Expectations”- Read the Sporting Regulations in full
- Review on-track conduct and incident expectations
- Understand penalty, protest, and appeal procedures
- Acknowledge broadcast and branding usage policies
Drivers are responsible for knowing and following all league rules.
3. Car, Number & Paint
Section titled “3. Car, Number & Paint”- Confirm your assigned car number:
- Ensure paint complies with league branding and sponsor rules
- Verify Trading Paints is installed and working
4. Race Weekend Preparation
Section titled “4. Race Weekend Preparation”- Confirm race date and start time (EST) on the schedules:
- Download the correct car and track content in iRacing
- Load the correct setup type (Open or Fixed)
- Test your setup in a practice session
- Verify wheel, pedals, and button bindings
5. Race Day Procedures
Section titled “5. Race Day Procedures”- Be in Discord at least 30 minutes before race start
- Join the iRacing session early
- Attend the driver briefing after qualifying
- Grid promptly and follow pacing instructions
- Maintain voice discipline during green-flag racing
6. In-Race Conduct
Section titled “6. In-Race Conduct”- Respect racing room and avoid reckless moves
- Hold brakes after incidents to prevent secondary contact
- Follow caution and restart procedures precisely
7. Post-Race Responsibilities
Section titled “7. Post-Race Responsibilities”- Save your replay in case of review or protest
- Submit protests respectfully within posted time limits by opening a ticket in
#🆘-support - Review race results and standings
- Provide feedback if requested by league admins
8. Ongoing Participation
Section titled “8. Ongoing Participation”- React accordingly to race events in the

#📢-announcementschannel - Maintain sportsmanlike behavior in Discord and on track
- Represent the league professionally at all times
Completion Confirmation
Section titled “Completion Confirmation”By participating in any North Star Racing event, you confirm that you have completed this checklist and agree to follow all league rules and procedures.
