Series Directors
Definition
Section titled “Definition”Series Directors are defined as the person/people responsible for enforcing league rules during races, and in the league Discord Server. Series Directors responsibilities include, but are not limited to: penalty management, caution management, race flow management, rule enforcement, general conduct monitoring, and stat/scoring management.
- Series Directors reserve the right to give any driver deemed to be a threat to competition a disqualification.
- Series Directors reserve the right to give any driver deemed to be the cause of one or more incidents the appropriate number of RC points.
- Series Directors reserve the right to disqualify a driver if they are deemed at fault of 3 separate incidents caused during the course of a single race.
- Series Directors reserve the right to throw a yellow flag if, in the opinion of the Series Directors, the incident impacted the field severely.
- Automatic cautions will be used at all oval courses. Manual cautions will be used at all road courses. Series Directors are required to throw cautions for incidents with three or more cars on oval tracks in which iRacing did not initiate a caution, or incidents with five or more cars on road courses.
- For series with stage cautions, Series Directors will throw the caution at the end of the predetermined lap once the 10th place car crosses the start/finish line. At road courses, the caution will be thrown when the leader enters the final turn.
- Pit lane will close when the leader reaches 2 laps remaining in the stage.
- If a caution occurs 3 laps or less remaining in the stage at a superspeedway or 5 laps or less at any other track, that caution will end the stage and points will be awarded.
